What is SharePoint spaces?

Thank you for your interest in participating in the SharePoint spaces private preview program. We are truly excited to have you be a part of this journey, as we aim to bring immersive and engaging mixed reality experiences for everyone, on any device. This program will serve as a connection channel between the Microsoft product team and you, our customer. Your business will benefit through insight into our product roadmap, vision, strategy, and design, in addition to providing you the opportunity to provide feedback to the product team. Our objective is to better understand our customers, their unique business needs, and learn more about your scenarios and usage to help us define our goals.

Engagement Model

As a participant of the SharePoint spaces private preview program, you will have access to the feature in your Office 365 Tenant prior to General Availability to solicit feedback. Access will be granted at a user-level, meaning only those users you have explicitly identified will have access to create spaces. We recommend creating a new communication site for this program and creating spaces within it.

You will also be invited to participate in select discussions with the Microsoft product team as we have areas of focus to share for feedback. In addition, we will reach out to you as we crystallize our plans for in-person events at SharePoint Conference North America in Las Vegas in May 2019 and Microsoft Ignite in Orlando in November 2019.

By accepting the invitation to participate, you are agreeing that you will be an active member of the private preview program; for example, attending calls and providing feedback when appropriate, and allowing occasional engagement with end users.

Next Steps

1. You will receive an envelope from DocuSign containing the preview terms and conditions.  Please review and electronically sign the document(s) as soon as possible.
2. Please fill out this form to provide user(s) and tenant details so we can ensure that the appropriate users have access to create spaces.
3. Over the next few days, you'll get an invitation to join the spaces private preview channel on Microsoft Teams. We would like to welcome you to share your experiences with other private preview customers.  All confidential communications will be direct communications between you (the customer) and Microsoft.
